Beach Tourist Park

Beach Tourist Park is ideally situated four kilometres from Mackay City centre which amounts to a five minute drive into town. The park is nestled right on Illawong Beach in a lovely quiet setting surrounded by beautiful gum and melaleuca trees. There is no traffic noise and the ocean is right on the front door. Guests regularly catch a whiting or flathead off the beach and then enjoy barbecued fish for dinner. Barbecues are part of the campers kitchen which is very well equipped and super place for meeting other guests or just enjoying a meal with your family and friends.

There is abundant wildlife at the park. Some varieties include frogmouth owl, galahs, lorikeets, parrots, kookaburras, peacocks and possums.

The water slide and pool is a favourite with young and old and perfect for cooling off in the summertime. There is also a gymnasium on-site.

The television room is great for guests who choose to camp or caravan, particularly overseas visitors who enjoy watching their favourite sports on the television.

The Beach Tourist Park has a variety of accommodation options, starting with our budget cabins through to two bedroom holiday units. All of the accommodation is air-conditioned and all units have cooking facilities. The favourite with the guests are the one and two bedroom holiday units which contain full cooking facilities, fully tiled bathrooms, queen size bed and have fine fittings and modern furnishings. All units have balconies. Beach Tourist Park endeavours to maintain a high standard of accommodation.

Choose from shaded to full sun, powered an unpowered sites for campers and caravanners. Ensuited sites are very popular; simply back your van onto the site and you have your own private bathroom or use the modern amenities block.
