Our peaceful friendly park is set in 10 acres of Tropical Oasis just 4 min south of Innisfail 'The Gateway to the Atherton Tablelands," the ideal base for exploring the Tablelands, Cairns or Mission Beach.

Our new park cabin section has a selection of standard, deluxe and superior deluxe ensuite cabins for you to choose from, we also have non ensuite deluxe cabins at a budget price.

The park has taken on a new image after suffering almost a total loss by Cyclone Larry on the 20 March 2006, it has taken us several months and many long hours, but we think you will be pleasantly surprised when you come to stay with us.

Located across the road from the beach and the Water Taxi to Dunk Island, within walking distance to the supermarket, bottle store, cafes and restaurants, these cabins are ideal for families looking for a stylish budget option. These lovely beach cabins also have ample parking for the boat, are PET FRIENDLY (outside small dog only) and can cater for disabled guests.

CAMP SITE
Whether you want a powered site for your caravan, a place to park your self-contained vehicle or just a spot to pitch your tent, this property can cater for all. With sea breezes, a beautiful view and spotless bathroom facilities, your next stop on your travels should be here. Disabled bathroom facilities are also available. Pets welcome.

Midway Caravan Park is set in two acres of shaded grassland in a quiet outback setting right in the heart of Georgetown. The weather is pleasant all year round with warm to hot temperatures and most rainfall confined to December to March monsoonal season. The caravan and camping park has grassed shady powered and unpowered sites, extra long motorhome sites, disabled amenities, a van storage facility and salt water swimming pool with spa for a refreshing swim. They provide a full range of accommodation and roadhouse services.

Their BYO Cafe Restaurant boasts locally sourced meat for home cooked and takeaway meals. Groceries are available from the Mini Mart and are an authorised Pharmacy agent. A gold phone is available for local and long distance calls. They can book your tours or accommodation for Cobbold Gorge and Undara Lava Tubes (bookings for both are essential). Their Service Station stocks most of your motoring needs, from a range of fuels and oils, LPG gas, ice, maps and magazines. Located 150 km south west of Atherton and 98 kms east of Undara Volcanic National Park. We are just 1 km off the Kennedy highway in beautiful, peaceful bush surroundings to set up your van or tent in a shady spot and listen to nature, including many species of native birds. Alternatively, try out the new air-conditioned units. There is a great camp kitchen for all campers and pets are welcome (but not in the units!).

We're ideally located to explore the sites of the area. Take a day trip out onto the reef or islands, Head in any directions and you'll stumble accross bustling towns and unique attractions.

Accomodation at Newell Beach comprises of 30 shaded caravan ptiches, most on hard standing in addition to 5 self containte, air conditioned cabins. We also provide a clean modern amenity block with laundry facilities, large saltwater swimming pool and communal BBQ area.
