Beachcomber Coconut Caravan Village is a resort style fun family holiday park right beside beautiful South Mission Beach in Far North Queensland, Australia.

South Mission Beach is approximately 2 hours south of Cairns. The park currently enjoys its status as highly recommended AAA Tourism / RACQ Four and a Half Star establishment, while the carefully maintain gardens have taken out the Cardwell Shire Commercial Garden Competition for many years, with the new Resort Pool Area winning the 2002 QALI Award.

Beachcomber Coconut Caravan Village was purchased in April 1991 by our family company who are firmly committed to continual improvement of the park's product offering. In the early years this meant repairing the substantial damage caused by Cyclone Winifred in 1986. Today it means ensuring that the accommodation, facilities and grounds at Beachcomber Coconut Caravan Village always meet the highest possible standards through an ongoing upgrade and maintenance program.

Guests can choose from 5 accommodation styles, includes Deluxe Villas, Villas, Ensuite Cabins, Beachfront Cabins and Standard Cabins plus powered van sites and unpowered grass camping sites. The park's relaxing atmosphere is enhanced by a large pebble saltwater swimming pool, half tennis court, playground, TV room, Games room, Campers kitchen, two amenities blocks, tour booking office, on site kiosk / eatery / BYO restaurant and takeaway store, petrol station and even weekly visits from the local fruit and vegetable supplier. A seasonal swimming enclosure is just across the road, as is boat hire to get fishing enthusiasts out to superb grounds.

All in all this is a superb hideaway spot.

Midway Caravan Park is set in two acres of shaded grassland in a quiet outback setting right in the heart of Georgetown. The weather is pleasant all year round with warm to hot temperatures and most rainfall confined to December to March monsoonal season. The caravan and camping park has grassed shady powered and unpowered sites, extra long motorhome sites, disabled amenities, a van storage facility and salt water swimming pool with spa for a refreshing swim. They provide a full range of accommodation and roadhouse services.

Their BYO Cafe Restaurant boasts locally sourced meat for home cooked and takeaway meals. Groceries are available from the Mini Mart and are an authorised Pharmacy agent. A gold phone is available for local and long distance calls. They can book your tours or accommodation for Cobbold Gorge and Undara Lava Tubes (bookings for both are essential). Their Service Station stocks most of your motoring needs, from a range of fuels and oils, LPG gas, ice, maps and magazines. The settlement of Seisia is only six kilometres from Bamaga airport with daily connections to Cairns. Seisia's wharf is famous for its angling and a surprising number of big fish; Trevally and spanish mackerel in particular, have been landed form this innocuous looking structure.

Larger groups can be accommodated in a mixture of lodges or in our Polynesian style A-frame villas which feature kitchenware, washing machine, TV, all linen and a daily service.
