Cape Tribulation in the Daintree Rainforest, Far North Queensland, is accurately described as “where the rainforest meets the reef”.

The Great Barrier Reef is possibly the best known of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.

It was protected by World Heritage listing in 1981.

The Daintree National Park was World Heritage listed in 1988. It is the most ancient virgin rainforest on earth and is second only in size to the Amazon.

Its lush tropical jungle fringes the deserted golden sand beaches of the Coral Sea & Pacific Ocean.

Here the Great Barrier Reef, which stretches almost 2000Km along the Queensland coastline, is at one of its closest points to the coast. It is the largest living coral reef on earth and is the only living thing visible from outer space.
