Conway Beach is a small community located a short 25 minute drive from Airlie Beach in the Whitsundays, at the mouth of the Proserpine River, an area renowned for great fishing and crabbing.

Set on 7 tropical acres the Park has undergone major improvements since current owners George Pauly and Debbie Brown bought the park in April 2005. George and Debbie had previously operated the Flying Fish Point Caravan Park in Innisfail, Far North Queensland.

Hydeaway Bay Caravan Park is in a peaceful bush setting just 250 metres from the beach (and no roads to cross over). Wildlife comes to the park. Wallabies, Kangaroos, Potaroos wander through, along with the lorikeets and bird life that can be witnessed up close at feeding times.

Owner operators Paul and Roz Willcocks and Charlie Sales say the local fishing is another attraction at Hydeaway. Both experienced and beginner anglers can have a lot of fun and luck fishing off the beach, or, out in a tinny off the nearby reefs. Shell collecting is also very popular on the local beaches with visitors coming from all over Australia to collect rare shells.

there is a council constructed Skate-park and Basket-ball court situated across the road from Seabreeze. There are tennis courts near the Cannonvale Primary school also just over the road.

You can walk to the marina or just drop a line from the combined marine club across the road. Good fish can be caught only a couple of minutes walk from the park. Or ask Andy what's biting at the moment.

Beach
The beach is only 150m walk from the park, and a good place to take your dog for a walk at sunset.

Shops
Bi-Lo shopping center is 200m from the park. With take-away shops, clothing, banks, employment services, bakery, bottle-shop, restaurants, etc.

Town
The town center of Airlie Beach is 1km away, there are many restaurants, shops, and all facilities there.

Dog walking
Situated a little outside of Airlie Beach walking your dog is no problem. There are a number of nice beach-side walks to enjoy.
