Directions Driving Directions: From the North: (From Port Douglas, Palm Cove etc.)
Drive south along the Captain Cook Highway. (This is the main road into Cairns)
Drive past the university on the right side of the road and Smithfield Shopping Centre (Coles Kmart, Woolworths)
At the second large roundabout past Smithfield Shopping Centre (Skyrail is on your right side) turn right onto Kamerunga Rd./Route 91.
Drive along this road for approximately 9kms. You will pass over the large Barron River Bridge, and also pass over Freshwater Creek Bridge.
After Freshwater Creek, continue briefly until you reach a set of traffic lights. Cool Waters Holiday Park is located on the right side. (Refer to map)

Driving Directions: From the South: (From Townsville, Airlie Beach etc)
Drive north along the Bruce Highway. (This is the main road into Cairns)
Stay in the left lane as you come into the built-up area and after passing the Stockland Shopping Centre on your right (there is a huge marlin fish at the front of this shopping centre), follow "Freshwater" traffic signs left onto McCombe St./Route 91. (Refer to map)
Do not deviate from this McCombe St. until you see a "Freshwater" sign and the Cool Waters neon sign at a set of traffic lights. There will be a Shell Service Station on the right side of the road. Turn left onto Reservoir Rd. (Refer to map)
Cool Waters is located 4km along Reservoir Rd on the left hand side, 100 metres past a large Mobil Service Station.
